Travel guide of Grand Teton National ParkHad less than 10 minutes to take this when summiting Grand Teton due to incoming weather storms and I wanted to capture the massive change in elevation I’d just traversed and give viewers a sense of scale. I chose to focus on the landscape break versus the sea of continuous mountain top texture facing the other direction while including a human element to bring scale into perspective.

We were on our way to Yellowstone on a 6 week road trip across the US. I knew we would be driving through part of the Grand Teton park but had no clue how beautiful it would be as we had heard so much more about Yellowstone. When we saw these colours we just had to stop and take a closer look. There’s so much to look at in this picture with the mountains, autumnal trees and pristine inviting lake but somehow, to me, it all fits together perfectly.

Grand Teton park is not known for its sunsets so much as it’s sunrises. This is because the sun sets in the west, behind the mountain peaks. But the first night I was there, I caught a little bit of sunset color over the Teton peaks. Clouds and rain moved in that night and this was the last time I got to see the Grand Teton Peak, the tallest one on the right, for the next 3 days.

I left Boise Idaho at 5pm and hit Jackson Hole late at night. I arrived the night before to catch the sunrise that The Grand Tetons are known for. The skies were clear and the blue hour was unreal. I was one of the few in the park that week along with a couple Moose but that is about it. It was a great first trip to the Tetons to say the least!

This photo was taken at hidden falls in Grand Teton National Park. We took the boat shuttle across Jenny Lake right before golden hour and I was very pleased to be greeted with this view after a short hike. I think this photo captures every element of the beauty of the Tetons with the mountain, stream, and forest.

This large peak in Grand Teton National Park overlooks Jackson Lake. This shot taken near Oxbow Bend shows the colors of fall nicely.

I took a photo road trip to the Grand Teton National Park in October, wanting to catch the views of the Grand Teton peaks. I got a glimpse of the Grand Teton Peak ( there is also South Teton Peak and Middle Teton Peak right next to the Grand ) the first night I was there but then a storm moved in and the peak was covered in clouds for the next 2 days. This shot has the Grand Teton covered up but there was still a nice reflection.

This is the frequently photographed Mormon Row barn of John Moulton. The overcast caused the lighting to be a bit flat, but this is one of the few times I saw the top of the Grand Teton peak ( on the right ) in 3 days. I fulfilled a life-long dream this summer when I took my family to visit Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons National Park. This was a vacation full of amazing beauty. I long to return there every time I see this photograph and others I took.

I took a road trip from Idaho to the Grand Tetons and slept in my car to wake up for this beautiful blue hour right before sunrise. I didn’t need to edit any colors really it was just as cool blue as I saw. I was jumping out of my skin experiencing this range for the first time, tired, and hungry and hoping to run into a few Moose.

The most photographed barn in USA. It seems to work out well for me when I come here. No one is around many of the times so I take a few photographs. I think it is because the Tetons are hidden by the clouds. It is alright with me to be left alone here.

I had been at Grand Teton National Park for about a week and this was my final morning. I had not had much luck getting a moose shot so decided to pick a spot along Moose-Wilson Road by the ponds and see if anything showed up. Just before the sun rose, a bull and a cow showed up to grab their breakfast. In this shot, the bull headed towards me just as the sun crested lighting up the flowers, grass and his antlers.

A picture that I really love from a trip in Wyoming. Just near the city of Jackson, you can find the National Elk Refuge, where a huge herd of elks find some peace before returning to Yellowstone, where it belongs.
